Aboriginal Employment

At Anglicare we know that our staff and volunteers are critical to our success as we work together towards our vision of justice, respect and fullness of life for all.   We pride ourselves on making a positive difference in the quality of life for all of our clients and by responding to their needs and issues in ways that enhance and protect their dignity and integrity.

Our clients are diverse, so too are their needs, issues and aspirations.  So we want a diverse workforce with a broad range of skills so that we can respond appropriately, at the right time, with the right people.

We’ve listened to our Aboriginal clients, and they tell us that they want choice, not only in programs and services, but also in provider.  Our clients tell us, that at times, they would prefer to access an Aboriginal staff member.  Unfortunately, at the present moment, we are not always able to meet these requests.  We want and need more Aboriginal people in our workforce to meet this demand.

But in saying that, at Anglicare we value the contribution that Aboriginal people make in the workforce, and we want more Aboriginal people to join our team; as employees and volunteers.  Anglicare has a range of employee opportunites; from care workers, to allied health professionals, social welfare and youth workers, clerical and administration support, enrolled and registered nurses and hospitality staff.  Anglicare has more than 30 sites across the metropolitan area.

If you are Aboriginal and would like to explore work options with Anglicare, please contact our Aboriginal Services Director – phone: 8305 9200.
