Big Guns come out for Great Chefs Lunch
Nationally renowned celebrity chef, Simon Bryant, will this year lead a team of Adelaide’s top chefs at the annual Great Chefs of Adelaide Lunch to be held on Sunday 15 August at the Adelaide Town Hall.
Joining him are fellow Hilton Adelaide compatriots past and present - Bethany Finn, owner and chef of Urban Bistro and Dennis Leslie, the new executive chef who took over from Simon in February.
Adding that extra spice to the team are two hot chefs on the Adelaide scene – Rocky Oliveira from The Pot Food and Wine and Mohamed Bartaouch from Marrakech. Their diverse cultural backgrounds will provide the inspiration for a menu with a difference this year as the chefs combine to devise a unique experience for guests.
This is the 15th Great Chefs of Adelaide Lunch in Anglicare SA’s 150th Year and proceeds will support the Archbishop’s Appeal supporting the Generate program.
Generate is a pioneering program aimed at tackling intergenerational unemployment and welfare dependency by working with the whole family and helping empower people to discover their skills and abilities.
Over the past fifteen years, the Great Chefs of Adelaide event has been supported by close to 100 leading Adelaide chefs, including Nick Papazahariakis, Brian Lawes, Peter Jarmer, Peter Reschke, Cheong Liew, Ann Oliver, Cath Kerry, Genevieve Harris, Maggie Beer, Salvatore Pepe, David Swain, Jordan Theodoros, Mark McNamara, Matthew Goodlett and many more. The event will again be supported by students from the International College of Hotel Management who provide the front-of-house service.
The Adelaide Town Hall plays host to the lunch for 380 guests. Adelaide’s leading wineries, food producers and service providers also add their support to complement the great chefs’ culinary creations.
