TIAS may be able to assist you if you are:
- A tenant or applicant of Housing SA
- Renting privately, with a household income of less than $40,000 per annum
- A member, non-member, tenant or applicant of a Housing Co-operative or Housing Association
TIAS can assist with any issues related to your tenancy such as
- Leases
- Bond disputes
- Maintenance
- RTT processes
- Appeal processes
- Negotiations with your housing provider e.g. rent arrears
- Housing SA Relocations and Transfers
TIAS cannot advocate for you, but may still be able to provide you with advice or general information if you are:
- A resident of a boarding house or rooming house
- Purchasing your own home
- Living in a caravan park or residential park
- Seeking emergency accommodation
- A landlord
- An agency or organisation
- A homeowner
- Living in private rental and your income exceeds $40,000
What TIAS cannot do is:
- TIAS does not write support letters
- TIAS does not provide support to keep your tenancy
- TIAS does not provide emergency accommodation. You may be able to get help from:

- SYC Trace-A-Place (if you are under 25 years of age) on 1300 306 046
- Housing SA on 131 299
- Domestic Violence Crisis Services (when escaping DV) on 1300 782 200
- Crisis Care (after 4.00pm) on 13 16 11.
- TIAS does not provide any financial assistance.

- TIAS does not assist with compensation claims. You will need to contact a legal practitioner or Housing Legal Clinic (details above).
- TIAS does not assist with insurance claims, but can provide information and advice.
- TIAS does not get involved with disputes between neighbours. We can provide you with information and advice on the processes and procedures to try and resolve these.
