The Magdalene Centre relies heavily on donations from various sources, but mainly from the public. This page identifies who donates to the Magdalene Centre, what you can donate and how to donate various items or money to the Magdalene Centre.

Regular Donors to the Magdalene Centre As the Magdalene centre is an Anglican association, it receives regular food, household items and monetary donations from Anglican parishes in South Australia. Various South Australian companies also make regular donations. Many individuals also make regular donations to the centre.
What you can donate If you are in the Adelaide area, you can provide the Magdalene Centre with a range of different items, all listed below. If you have any of the following items at home and do not use them any longer, have grown out of them, or are just willing to give them away, the Magdalene Assistance and Bargain centres will always appreciate them. Donations are accepted in kind or monetary.
The following food items are always in need: • Long life milk • Canned fish • Canned meat • Canned vegetables • Canned fruits • Pasta/simmer sauces • Pasta and rice • baby food • Breakfast cereals (such as Weet-Bix)
The
following clothing and manchester items are always in need: • Child
and youth clothing • Men and women's clothing (especially
larger sizes) • towels • sleeping bags • bed sheets
The
following household items are always in need: • Crockery and
cutlery • China and glass items
• Bric-a-brac • Kitchen utensils
Monetary donations are also always appreciated, and for Australian residents, any donation over $AUS2 is [goods and services] tax deductible. Please see below for information on how to donate these items.
How to donate If you would like to donate any of the above items, you have two options: delivery or mail (for monetary donations only). To deliver food, clothing or manchester items, simply drop them off at either the Magdalene Assistance Centre (for food) or the Magdalene Bargain Centre (for clothing and manchester items) during opening hours (click here for locations and hours). If you have a large donation, it would be appreciated if you called a day ahead, so we can organise volunteers to take it in and sort it out.
To donate money, it is possible to either deliver money in person to The Magdalene Centre, 26 Moore Street, Adelaide SA, 5000 by entering and asking for Christine Cassells, during business hours (9am–3 pm) You can also write a cheque for The Magdalene Centre and send it to the above address.
