Saver Plus
Saver Plus is a savings and financial education program, which helps families on lower incomes to
- Strengthen their financial skills
- Build a long-term savings habit
- Save for education expenses.
Saver Plus participants work with Anglicare (and other community organisations) to complete a financial education workshop. They receive personal support and coaching during the program. Once they reach their savings goal, ANZ matches their savings dollar for dollar, up to $500. These savings can be used for educational expenses, including computers, text books, uniforms and extra-curricular activities. There are three Anglicare Saver Plus sites in SA — at Morphett Vale and covering the southern suburbs, north at Salisbury/Playford and in the Barossa Valley. All three are now recruiting eligible participants. We look forward to hearing from you if you know of someone who may be eligible to participate in the program. Staff and volunteers are welcome to apply. Places are limited and to be eligible, Saver Plus participants must:
- be over 18 years of age
- be the parent or guardian of a child attending school this year or next year OR be attending or returning to vocational education themselves
- have a health care or pension card
- have regular earnings from paid employment, and
- live, work , study or have a child at school in the area where a Saver Plus program is delivered.
