Counselling
Our Families in Focus counselling
services helps families, couples and individuals to work
on their own relationships and find ways to overcome
problems.
Our counsellors work with you to
develop decision making and problem solving strategies
in the relationships. The counsellor will help you to
determine appropriate parenting strategies, and enhance
your knowledge of child development, and those tricky
adolescent years.
The counsellors can address issues
across the life spectrum including pre-marriage, during
marriage, de facto and same sex relationships, pre- and
post- separation, divorce, remarriage and the impact of
retirement/retrenchment — as well as family counselling.
Our child and family inclusive
approach will ensure that children and young people are
given the opportunity to participate in counselling
sessions and contribute to family goal setting as
relevant and appropriate.
You don’t need to be referred to
our counselling servicers to make an appointment, you
can refer yourself; our aim is to work with you to
resolve the issues that impact on your life and
relationships.
