Youth Pathways

The program aims to assist eligible young people aged between 13 and 19 yrs who are most at risk of not making a successful transition to reach their full potential by keeping them engaged or re-engaging them with education or training. Participants receive personalised assistance specifically directed to their needs with support and guidance to overcome the barriers to effective participation in education, training or employment services.

Evolution is a service to help young people who have problems in mainstream education. It was set up to help children in care, but can also cater for other adolescents, identified as 'at risk'. Evolution helps re-integrate young people to school, providing an individual and structured plan in which the young person has an active role. It's not an alternative to school, but a safe environment which supports a young person's re-entry to school.

Evolution staff are youth workers who act as mentors and guides, and have a huge variety of skills. Staff are on call Monday to Friday, and young people attend the program Mondays–Fridays.

If you'd like to know more about Evolution, you can download a brochure and information sheet.
