Club Pennies

The Pennies from Heaven appeal is another fundraising venture for Anglicare SA.

Club Pennies is a regular business networking luncheon, to share news and business ideas, and hear from some of South Australia's brightest identities and new ideas.

Former Club Pennies speakers have included:

  • Cathoel Jorss, founder of Born Naked
  • Denise von Wald, chief executive of Education Adelaide
  • Douglas Gautier, CEO of the Adelaide Festival Centre
  • Les Burdett, Curator of the Adelaide Oval
  • Cibo founder Roberto Cardone
  • Olympian Pat Mickan
  • Arts Convenor Nicky Downer
  • Footballer and political aspirant Nigel Smart
  • Arts SA executive director Greg Mackie
  • Independent Weekly publisher Paul Hamra
  • Businesswomen Paula Nagel and Judy Hardy.

Club Pennies business lunches are held from 12 noon–2 pm at the Gil Langley Room, Don Bradman stand, Adelaide Oval. Cost is $50 per head, all inclusive, and all proceeds support the work of Anglicare.

The next Club Pennies lunch is Friday 17 October. Guest speaker is Professor Stephen Worthley, a  young "heart electrician" to talk about heart health.
