Anglicare's Winter Appeal was launched at the Adelaide Oval on 8 June with our annual great debate.

|
It was all about hope, and this year, the topic: ‘Will hope do?’ was slugged out by the Angels, Anglicare's chief executive Lynn Arnold and Channel 10's Rebecca Morse against the Dark Side, Business SA’s chief Peter Vaughan and Adelaide Crows head Steven Trigg, with ringmaster Peter Goers keeping all in check.
Proudly sponsored by Hindmarsh Plumbing, Hyundai, International Linen, & Statewide Superannuation

How can you help?
Hold a soup day with your friends or at your office, using one of Anglicare's winter soup recipes, and collect a gold coin donation per mug of soup!
Collect and donate warm clothing, blankets and food.
Blankets, pillows and sleeping bags are much needed to keep people warm.
And non perishable food items are always in demand.
- Tinned soups and stews
- Tinned vegetables
- Tinned meats
- Breakfast cereals
- Long life milk
- Pasta and pasta sauces, which can be used to make a complete meal.
Food and blankets can be brought into any Anglicare office, and thanks to the Adelaide Arcade, Anglicare will again be in the centre of the city to collect donations for our winter appeal.
Anglicare’s booth in the Adelaide Arcade is open weekdays from 14 June to 1 July, from 10.30am–2.30pm. If you are coming past, drop in and buy an Anglicare mug for just $5: and you receive a free coffee, tea or the soup of the day at The Coffee Spot in the Adelaide Arcade. There will also be red hot specials on the sales table: our band of volunteers will be happy to serve you.
You can also make a credit card donation by calling our donation hotline on 1300 HOPE SA (4673 72)
You can make a donation using our secure on-line service: If you would like to make an online donation, click here.
Help us cure the cold this winter.
Anglicare is seeking your support to bring some winter warmth to so many families left out in the cold.
How cold is it out there?
Some 48,000 South Australians are out of work.
More than 8000 South Australians are homeless. That’s not just individuals sleeping rough, but families bunking out in cars and young people ‘couch surfing’ around friends for a bed for the night.
And while Anglicare helps more than 300 households per week with emergency assistance, we have to turn away up to 100 per week, when the shelves are bare.
Thank you for keeping one more person out of the cold this winter!
